It is with regret that the World Minifootball Federation (WMF) announces changes to the group stage for the upcoming 2024 Women’s and U23 World Cup, to be held in Croatia. Due to the European Union's stricter visa policies, several non-European countries have been unable to secure visas for their teams, forcing the WMF to revise the competition groups.

The EU regulations, which impose stricter visa requirements on citizens from economically less developed countries or those deemed to pose potential security risks, have directly affected the participation of several international teams. As a result, some countries have been unable to obtain visas for their athletes, leading to a reduction in the number of starting teams.

The WMF has revised the group structure to reflect these changes, and the updated list of groups is mentioned below. The revised tournament schedule will be announced in some time.

The WMF acknowledges that this is a disappointing development for the affected teams, their fans, and the global minifootball community. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate everyone’s understanding as we navigate this unforeseen challenge. The federation remains committed to delivering a successful and exciting tournament despite these setbacks.

Further updates will be provided as we finalize the competition schedule and other logistical details.
